...And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together....but encouraging one another....
Hebrews 10.24-25
And a set of hymns sung by Maddy Prior and the Carnival Band, in the style of the Gallery Musicians, heard in rural churches until the church organ gradually took over in the 19th century.
The first one is 'who would true valour see' - one of my favourites and appropriate for this week.
The video of Ephesus for next week is here and is called
In view of how busy and involved we all are, can I recommend reading Ephesians chapter 6 verses 10 onwards? It's the 'Put on the whole armour of God' bit;
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Good News Bible)
Here are some STRONG SONGS
Simon Cowell is pretty cheeky to this Pastor, but then the song starts....
and a lullabye (I know it is not a 'religious' song, but I always imagine Jesus singing it to me... )
This week is the fourth in the series called The Library - A Centre of Learning or a Facade and this link will take you to this video, with all the extra information and Bible readings underneath the video itself.
